Affiliate Agreement

In short ...

Participation in the affiliate program is a "partnership" of sorts. We agree to all that is practical to ensure that your commodity futures quotes pages are available ... and you must agree to use the service only in the intended manner and for the intended purpose.

Availability of quotes ...

TFC Commodity Charts has a good record of providing consistently good service. Our "quote uptime" is approaching 100%. However, since we rely on outside services over which we have no control, we cannot guarantee the availability and accuracy of this service. We can state that the availability and accuracy of your co-branded pages will be similar to that of the quotes on the TFC Commodity Charts web site.

The intended ...

It is intended that you will configure customized quote pages using the online Style Editor provided by TFC Commodity Charts. In your customized quotes pages, both the advertising banner and the disclaimer/credit areas must be clearly visible. The quote pages can look very much (perhaps identical to) other pages of your site, and the quote pages can be enclosed within an HTML "frameset", but the actual quote page (or frame) must be served directly from our server. You must not attempt to extract data from the web pages in any way and for any reason. All quotes must be served directly from our web server. (They must not be cached or temporarily stored or manipulated in any way at all.)

Not intended ...

It would be impossible to create an inclusive list of all the ways in which this service must not be used; we're not going to try. Instead, we reserve the right to terminate service to an affiliate site, and reject an affiliate registration for any reason, without notice. We doubt it will be necessary to take such severe action except in cases of extreme abuse, and will use email to discuss all other problems. Please keep your contact information current - e-mail affiliates@tradingcharts.com with any changes.

Please note that we have a zero-tolerance policy for prejudice, malicious harm and SPAM. Such abuse can result in immediate termination of affiliate access. Please note our policy on SPAM ... using unsolicited commercial e-mail (UCE) or inappropriate newsgroup postings to promote your site or your affiliate quotes can result in termination of your affiliate quote service.

One last thing ...

Please do not add advertising for any other website or service to your affiliate quotes pages. If you must add banners, please do so in a separate frame - do not use the Style Manager for this purpose.
