Media Advisory - Minister Carr to Hold Call-back Following the International Energy Agency Ministerial

Canada's Minister of Natural Resources, the Honourable Jim Carr, will hold a call-back with Canadian media to make announcements and discuss the outcomes of the International Energy Agency (IEA) Ministerial, which is taking place in Paris, France, November 7-8, 2017.

Minister Carr's focus during the IEA is on confirming Canada's role as a trusted international leader, through our commitment to clean energy, gender equality, innovation and energy security.

He is holding meetings with international counterparts to discuss the important role Canada plays in the global low-carbon economy. He also hosted a roundtable meeting with CEOs from international energy companies and delivered remarks at a discussion on women's leadership and participation in the energy sector.

Minister Carr is building on the momentum of Generation Energy and promoting Canada's vast opportunities in renewable, clean and energy-efficient technologies.
