Mar 05, 2018 (Euclid Infotech Ltd via COMTEX) --

In 2018-2019, the implementation of the Comprehensive Program aimed at dramatically improving the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the capital of RNO-Alania will be continued. This decision was taken at a meeting of the working group under the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the NCFD on the issues of normalizing the environmental situation, which was held in Vladikavkaz under the chairmanship of Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative Maxim Vladimirov and Taimuraz Tuskayev.

Participants in the meeting, including Akhsarbek Sabatkoev , First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republican Government, Soslan Abisalov , Director of the Department for Investment Projects of the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the North Caucasus Affairs , Andrei Bessonov , Chief Federal Inspector for North Ossetia-Alania , heads of nature protection structures and industrial enterprises, adopted the Comprehensive Program covering the first half of 2016 and the past year.

Due to the implementation of the planned measures, harmful emissions of production have been reduced, which adversely affected the environment, and in favor of this, the information given by the specialists of the republican departments of Rosprirodnadzor and Rospotrebnadzor said.

The equipment was purchased and two additional automated 24-hour observation posts for atmospheric composition were organized in Vladikavkaz.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania has purchased a software product for conducting consolidated calculations and forming a single consolidated volume of maximum permissible emissions.

Monitoring of the state of the environment since 2018 is conducted at five stationary observation posts.

For the period from December 1, 2017 to February 28, 2018, more than 100,000 studies were carried out in automatic mode to determine the content of harmful substances in the atmospheric air of Vladikavkaz, including carbon monoxide, oxide and nitrogen dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, ammonia and dioxide sulfur.

Significant efforts were focused on activities aimed at providing residents of the capital of the republic with quality drinking water. Capital-intensive and efficient, as was noted at the meeting of the working group, was named the implemented project to provide the population of the left-bank part of Vladikavkaz with drinking water. A new highway connected to sources of drinking water has been laid, the obsolete equipment has been replaced, which is used in the city water supply system.

The meeting of the working group discussed measures to reduce emissions from cars, and here a certain role was played by the city authorities' systemic actions to repair roads, introducing new approaches to traffic management, including eliminating traffic jams and congestion.

Another significant factor that indicates the qualitative implementation of the program was the activities carried out by industrial enterprises in Vladikavkaz to reduce the discharge of pollutants into water bodies, including the Sobachya Balka River, and already last year, environmental experts regularly conducted raids, noted qualitative positive changes.

The executors of the program included industrial enterprises of the republic and their leaders are aimed at reducing harmful emissions into the atmosphere due to modernization of existing equipment, introduction of new technologies, technical re-equipment.

It is clear that all these events are costly, and as Maxim Vladimirov and Taymuraz Tuskaev noted unanimously, the goal of all actions is obvious and understandable - these are people's health and a favorable ecological situation in Vladikavkaz.

Medico-prophylactic measures to reduce the development of diseases associated with chemical pollution of the environment were carried out in a constant mode, and the focus was on children and women living in the industrial part of Vladikavkaz.

Within the framework of the Comprehensive Program, measures were taken to recultivate and sanate the soil in two institutions of Vladikavkaz - in kindergarten No. 31 and school No. 6.

During the meeting of the working group, a decision was adopted according to which the executive authorities, heads of industrial enterprises, together with supervisory and supervisory authorities, will formulate proposals that will be included in the future Integrated Program, while executors, terms, volumes and sources of funding for forthcoming events will be prescribed.
