Russian Federation : Two million tons of sugar beet harvested in Lipetsk region

According to operational data, on October 5, more than 63 thousand hectares of 128 thousand hectares were harvested in the Lipetsk region. Collected 2 million tons of sugar beets. The leader in the gross collection of root crops is Dobrinsky district, where they dug up 472 thousand tons.

The average yield in the region is 327.5 centners per hectare. The leader is Dolgorukovsky district with an indicator of 392 c / ha. In the second place is Khlevensky district - 380 c / ha, on the third - Chaplyginsky - 375 c / ha. The sugar content in root crops significantly exceeds last year's figures and is 19.34%. Of the 1,679 thousand tons of root crops processed at the six sugar factories in the region, about 250 thousand tons of sweet sand were produced.
