Slovenia : Mag. Jidan: "I am proud of another successfully realized story"

Apr 16, 2018 (Euclid Infotech Ltd via COMTEX) --

Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food, mag. Dejan Zidan met DANES with the Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Board, Alexander Medvedev. The meeting is a result of successful agreements between the Slovenian and Russian energy companies, which followed the visits of the economic and political delegations of the Republic of Slovenia to the Russian Federation in January and February last year.

Meeting between mag. Dejan Zidan and Aleksandar Medvedev took part in the signing of a five-year agreement on cooperation between the Slovenian energy company Geoplin and the Russian company Gazprom. Representatives of Geoplin and Russian Gazprom have today officially signed a new five-year agreement on the supply of natural gas. An agreement on the supply of 600 million cubic meters of gas per year has entered into force since the beginning of the year, and representatives of both companies hope to continue the good cooperation, which could be longer term.

This is another successful realization of the visit of Slovenian economic and political delegations in the Russian Federation. At the signing of the agreement, the representative of the Slovenian energy company Geoplin said that Slovenian economic diplomacy was very successful in this regard. Minister idan, who visited last year in Russia, agreed to continue cooperation between Geoplin and Gazprom, saying that Slovenia needed a stable supply of gas. "The strained geopolitical conditions increase the instability of financial and economic markets, and the deterioration of the situation must not jeopardize otherwise good cooperation between the two countries."
