Two new Partners strengthen Fasken's energy practice

CALGARY, Feb. 6, 2018 (Canada NewsWire via COMTEX) --

Fasken welcomes Christopher Manderville and Adrienne O'Reilly as Partners at the Calgary office.

Chris is a member of the Global Energy Group. Recognized as one of Canada's leading energy lawyers, Chris is highly sought after for his specialization in international resource law. His practice involves corporate, M&A, securities and cross border transactions in the natural resource and renewable energy industries. He represents a number of oil and gas exploration and production companies, energy service and infrastructure companies and investment banks.

Adrienne is a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions Group. Her practice focuses on international and domestic structuring, finance and governance, international natural resources law and energy law. She has extensive experience advising on corporate finance, M&A, offshore structures, cross-border security and anti-corruption matters. She acts for oil and gas exploration, production and service companies on a variety of energy-related agreements. She is also a holder of the Institute of Corporate Directors Director designation (ICD.D).

"We are pleased to welcome Chris and Adrienne to the Firm," said Clarke Barnes, Co-Managing Partner, Calgary. "As the energy and natural resources sectors continue to evolve with a mix of new technologies and regulatory requirements, their in-depth expertise will benefit our clients."

"Client's legal needs are increasingly complex when considering cross-border jurisdictions," said Robert Maxwell, Co-Managing Partner, Calgary. "Adrienne and Chris bring solid international experience having advised on a broad range of energy-related agreements globally."

Fasken's Global Energy Group offers energy clients a full suite of legal services to meet their needs. We help serve permits and regulatory approvals, provide insight regarding government policy and energy markets, and guide clients through acquisitions, divestitures, financings and joint ventures.

Fasken's Mergers & Acquisitions group structures transactions to meet clients' unique objectives. Identifying potential issues and regulatory requirements at an early stage allows us to propose solutions to meet these objectives. This - along with the collective insight from hundreds of deals across our firm - is what creates value for our clients.
