USDA-MS: Minneapolis Weekly Feedstuffs Report

Minnesota Feedstuffs - Prices for the week ending Tuesday, September 12, 2017
**All prices are quoted per ton, unless otherwise noted. **

Oilseed feedstuffs were lower this past week. Animal feedstuffs were mostly 
mixed.  Demand and trade remain light to moderate.

Oilseeds:
   The October Soybean Meal futures closed 8.10 lower at 304.80, December futures 
closed 8.00 lower at 300.00. The October Soybean Oil futures closed 0.26 points lower 
at 34.93 cents per pound, December closed 0.25 points lower at 35.19 cents per pound. 
The Truck delivery of high protein Soybean Meal in Minnesota was 8.10 lower from 
276.70-280.70, the basis was steady from 16.00 to 20.00 under the October futures. 
Linseed Meal, 34 pct protein was steady to 10.00 lower from 235.00-250.00 in the 
North Dakota-Minnesota area. Sunflower Meal, 13 pct fiber, 34 pct protein was steady 
130.00-135.00 in the North Dakota-Minnesota area. Canola Meal was 8.10 to 11.10 lower 
from 176.70-178.70 with the basis steady to 3.00 higher from 118.00 to 120.00 under 
the October Soybean Meal futures. Soybean Oil in Minnesota was 0.17 to 0.21 points 
lower from 34.18-35.18 cents per pound; the basis ranged from 75 points under the 
October futures to 25 over the October futures.

Animal Protein: 
   Meat and Bone Meal, 50 pct protein was 5.00 to 30.00 lower from 265.00-335.00; 
Pork was 5.00 to 25.00 lower from 325.00-345.00. Yellow Grease was 50 to 75 points 
lower from 27.50-28.25 cents per pound. Choice White Grease was steady to 25 points 
higher from 28.00-29.75 cents per pound. Feather Meal was steady to 25.00 higher from 
435.00-490.00. Blood Meal was steady from 815.00-850.00; Pork was 5.00 to 20.00 
higher from 850.00-875.00.

Millfeeds:
  Wheat Middlings were steady to 7.00 higher from 55.00-78.00. The Sacked Bran was 
steady at 23.00 cwt.

Bids/Offers prices are bulk per ton, in carlots unless specified. Animal ingredients 
are delivered MPLS, other ingredients are FOB.
