USDA-MS: Minneapolis Weekly Feedstuffs Report

Minnesota Feedstuffs - Prices for the week ending Tuesday, November 14, 2017
**All prices are quoted per ton, unless otherwise noted. **

Oilseed feedstuff were mostly lower this week, while animal proteins were mostly 
higher. Demand and trade were moderate at best.

Oilseeds:
   The December Soybean Meal futures closed 5.20 lower at 310.30, January closed 5.40 
lower at 312.30. The December Soybean Oil futures closed 101 points lower at 34.01 
cents per pound, January closed 102 points lower at 34.16 cents per pound. The Truck 
delivery of high protein Soybean Meal in Minnesota was 0.20 to 5.20 lower from 
272.30-284.30, the basis had no comparison from 40.00 under the January futures to 
26.00 under the December futures. Linseed Meal, 34 pct protein was steady from 
190.00-215.00 in the North Dakota-Minnesota area. Sunflower Meal, 13 pct fiber, 34 
pct protein was steady to 20.00 higher from 145.00-180.00 in the North Dakota-
Minnesota area. Canola Meal was 0.20 to 38.20 lower from 157.30-220.30, the basis had 
no comparison from 90.00 under the December Soybean Meal futures to 155.00 under the 
January Soybean Meal futures. Soybean Oil in Minnesota was 76 to 101 points lower 
from 33.26-33.76 cents per pound; the basis was steady to 25 points higher from 25 to 
75 points under the December futures.

Animal Protein: 
   Meat and Bone Meal, 50 pct protein 5.00 to 10.00 lower from 200.00-225.00; Pork 
steady to 10.00 higher with limited trade at 260.00. Yellow Grease was steady to 150 
points higher from 23.50-25.00 cents per pound. Choice White Grease was steady to 100 
points lower from 24.00-26.50 cents per pound. Feather Meal was steady from 400.00-
425.00. Blood Meal was steady to 50.00 higher from 560.00-600.00; Pork was steady to 
25.00 higher with limited trade at 650.00.

Millfeeds:
  Wheat Middlings were 7.00 to 10.00 lower from 63.00-85.00. The Sacked Bran was 1.00 
lower at 24.00 cwt.

Bids/Offers prices are bulk per ton, in carlots unless specified. Animal ingredients 
are delivered MPLS, other ingredients are FOB.
