USDA-MS: Minneapolis Weekly Feedstuffs Report

Minnesota Feedstuffs - Prices for the week ending Tuesday, February 06, 2018
**All prices are quoted per ton, unless otherwise noted. **

Oilseed and animal feedstuffs were mostly mixed week. Demand and trade remain light 
to moderate at best.

Oilseeds:
   The March Soybean Meal futures closed 8.80 lower at 331.70, May closed 8.50 lower 
at 335.40. The March Soybean Oil futures closed 8 points higher at 33.16 cents per 
pound, May closed 7 points higher at 33.35 cents per pound. The Truck delivery of 
high protein Soybean Meal in Minnesota was 4.10 to 8.50 lower from 296.40-310.40, the 
basis had no comparison from 25 to 39 under the May futures. Linseed Meal, 34 pct 
protein was steady from 220.00-230.00 in the North Dakota-Minnesota area. Sunflower 
Meal, 13 pct fiber, 34 pct protein was steady to 10.00 lower from 165.00-200.00 in 
the North Dakota-Minnesota area. Canola Meal was 3.80 to 8.80 lower from 221.70-
241.70, the basis steady to 5.00 higher from 90 to 110 under the March Soybean Meal 
futures. Soybean Oil in Minnesota 8 points higher from 32.16-32.91 cents per pound; 
the basis steady from 25 to 100 points under the March Futures.

Animal Protein: 
   Meat and Bone Meal, 50 pct protein steady to 10.00 higher from 210.00-235.00; Pork 
had limited trade at 285.00. Yellow Grease was 50 points lower from 16.00-19.00 cents 
per pound. Choice White Grease was 150 to 175 points lower from 18.50-19.00 cents per 
pound. Feather Meal was 5.00 to 25.00 higher from 415.00-445.00. Blood Meal was 10.00 
to 25.00 higher from 650.00-710.00; Pork had limited trade at 675.00.

Millfeeds:
   Wheat Middlings were steady to 5.00 lower from 90.00-110.00. The Sacked Bran had 
no quote.

Bids/Offers prices are bulk per ton, in carlots unless specified. Animal ingredients 
are delivered MPLS, other ingredients are FOB.
