USDA-MS: Minneapolis Weekly Feedstuffs Report

Minnesota Feedstuffs - Prices for the week ending Tuesday, May 15, 2018
**All prices are quoted per ton, unless otherwise noted. **

Oilseed feedstuffs and animal feedstuffs were mixed this week. Demand moderate for 
most, with the exceptionally high demand for Blood meal.

Oilseeds:
   The July Soybean Meal futures closed 3.60 lower at 382.30, Aug closed at 3.10 
lower at 380.10. The July Soybean Oil futures closed 63 points higher at 31.12 cents 
per pound, Aug closed 54 points higher at 31.23 cents per pound. The Rail delivery of 
high protein Soybean Meal in Minnesota was 3.60 lower from 351.30-357.30, the basis 
was 31 to 25 under the July Soybean Meal futures; truck delivery was 3.60 lower from 
351.30-364.30 with the basis 31 to 18 under the July Soybean Meal futures. Linseed 
Meal, 34 pct protein was steady to 5.00 higher from 260.00-275.00 in the North 
Dakota-Minnesota area. Sunflower Meal, 13 pct fiber, 34 pct protein was mixed, 5.00 
lower to 10.00 higher from 195.00-215.00 in the North Dakota-Minnesota area. Canola 
Meal was 3.60 to 8.60 lower from 277.30-292.30, the basis was steady to 5 lower from 
90 to 105 under the July Soybean Meal futures. Soybean Oil in Minnesota was 63 to 88 
points higher from 29.87-30.37 cents per pound; the basis was steady to 25 higher 
from 75 to 125 points under the July soybean oil futures.

Animal Protein: 
   Meat and Bone Meal, 50 pct protein was steady from 290.00-320.00; Pork was steady 
from 300.00-330.00. Yellow Grease was steady to 50 points higher from 19.50 to 24.50 
cents per pound. Choice White Grease was steady to 50 points higher from 24.50-25.50 
cents per pound. Feather Meal was steady to 15.00 lower from 560.00-615.00. Blood 
Meal was 50.00 to 100.00 higher from 1100.00-1200.00; Pork was steady to 100.00 
higher from 1200.00-1250.00.

Millfeeds:
   Wheat Middlings were 3.00 lower from 80.00-114.00. The Sacked Bran had no quote.

Bids/Offers prices are bulk per ton, in carlots unless specified. Animal ingredients 
are delivered MPLS, other ingredients are FOB.
