National Feedstuffs Market Review

The USDA Market News Service reports feed ingredient prices for the week ending May 
15, 2018 were mixed. Soybean Meal was 0.60 to 6.60 lower. Cottonseed Meal was steady 
to 15.00 higher. Whole Cottonseed was mixed, 5.00 lower to 9.00 higher. Canola Meal 
was steady to 8.60 lower. Linseed Meal was steady to 5.00 higher. Sunflower Meal was 
Mixed, 5.00 lower to 10.00 higher. Crude Soybean Oil was mixed, 57 points lower to 43 
points higher. Crude Corn Oil was steady. Ruminant Meat and Bone Meal steady to 10.00 
lower. Ruminant Blood Meal was 50.00 to 175.00 higher. Feather Meal was steady to 
15.00 lower. Corn Hominy was steady. Corn Gluten Feed was mixed, 37.00 lower to 15.00 
higher. Corn Gluten Meal was steady to 25.00 lower, mostly steady. Distillers Dried 
Grain was mixed, 5.00 lower to 15.00 higher. Wheat Middlings were mostly mixed, 25.00 
lower to 10.00 higher. Wheat millrun was steady to 2.00 higher.


Oilseeds: The July Soybean Meal futures closed 3.60 lower at 382.30, Aug closed at 
3.10 lower at 380.10. The July Soybean Oil futures closed 63 points higher at 31.12 
cents per pound, Aug closed 54 points higher at 31.23 cents per pound. Soybean Meal 
in Central Illinois was 2.60 lower from 392.30-393.30; Indiana-Ohio was 0.60 to 3.60 
lower from 377.30-390.30; Iowa was 3.60 lower from 355.30-371.30; Kansas City was 
1.60 to 3.60 lower from 369.30-370.30; Minneapolis was 3.60 lower from 351.30-357.30; 
St. Louis was 5.00 to 6.00 higher from 408.00-418.00; Memphis was 5.10 to 11.10 
higher from 399.60-413.60; Portland was steady to 6.60 lower from 414.30-439.00; BN 
Santa Fe delivered Chino Valley was 2.60 to 5.60 lower from 422.30-424.30; Union 
Pacific delivered Chino Valley was 2.60 to 5.60 lower from 422.30-424.30. Cottonseed 
Meal FOB the Central San Joaquin Valley in California was steady from 325.00-340.00; 
Kansas City was 5.00 lower at 315.00; St. Louis was 5.00 to 15.00 higher from 305.00-
315.00; Memphis was steady to 10.00 higher from 260.00-265.00. Whole Cottonseed FOB 
the Central San Joaquin Valley in California was steady to 9.00 higher from 280.00-
290.00; delivered to Portland was steady to 5.00 lower from 270.00-320.00; Memphis 
was steady at 175.00. Offers for nearby delivered Canola Meal, 34 to 36 percent 
protein, delivered to Portland was steady to 3.60 lower from 321.30-350.00; 
Minneapolis was 3.60 to 8.60 lower from 277.30-292.30. Linseed Meal, 34 pct protein 
was steady to 5.00 higher in North Dakota-Minnesota from 260.00-275.00. Sunflower 
Meal, 23 pct fiber, 28 pct protein was mixed, 5.00 lower to 10.00 higher from 195.00-
215.00 in the North Dakota-Minnesota area. The Soybean Oil in Central Illinois was 43 
points higher from 29.32-29.62 cents per pound; Indiana-Ohio was mixed, 57 points 
lower to 43 points higher from 29.62-31.12 cents per pound; Iowa was mixed, 7 points 
lower to 43 points higher from 29.12-30.37 cents per pound; Minnesota was 63 to 88 
points higher from 29.87-30.37cents per pound. Crude Corn Oil in Central Illinois was 
steady at 29.50 cents per pound.
	
ANIMAL PROTEINS: Ruminant Meat and Bone Meal in the Central U.S. was unquoed; FOB the 
Texas Panhandle was unquoted; Minneapolis was steady from 290.00-320.00; Kansas City 
was steady at 290.00; St. Louis was steady to 10.00 lower from 280.00-300.00; 
Portland FOB production points was steady from 270.00-285.00; FOB Central and 
Northern California was steady with limited trade at 290.00; FOB Los Angeles was 
steady with limited trade at 290.00. Pork Meat and Bone Meal in the Central U.S. was 
steady to 15.00 lower from 260.00-275.00; Eastern Corn Belt had no quote; Minneapolis 
was steady from 300.00-330.00; St. Louis was steady to 20.00 lower from 280.00-
310.00. Ruminant Blood Meal in the Central U.S. had no quote; FOB the Texas Panhandle 
was 175.00 higher at 11200.00; Minneapolis was 50.00 to 100.00 higher from 1100.00-
1200.00; delivered to the San Joaquin Valley was 75.00 higher at 1275.00. Pork Blood 
Meal in the Central U.S. was at 1500.00; Eastern Corn Belt had no quote; Minneapolis 
was steady to 100.00 higher from 1200.00-1250.00. Feather Meal in Kansas City steady 
from 540.00-550.00; Minneapolis was steady to 15.00 lower from 560.00-615.00; 
Arkansas was steady from 510.00-520.00; Mississippi was steady from 465.00-475.00. 

CORN FEEDS: Yellow Corn Hominy in Central Illinois was steady at 108.00 for rail, 
truck was steady at 115.00. Kansas City (Northwest) was not available; St. Louis was 
3.00 higher at 123.00; California rail was not available, truck was steady at 190.00. 
Corn Gluten Feed in the Midwest (IA, IL, IN) was mixed, 12.00 lower to 5.00 higher 
from 130.00-138.00; Kansas City was 5.00 to 37.00 lower from 173.00-210.00; St. Louis 
was steady to 15.00 higher from 160.00-175.00. Corn Gluten Meal, 60 percent protein 
in the Midwest (IA, IL, IN) was 25.00 lower from 475.00-505.00; Kansas City was 
steady at 560.00; St. Louis was 25.00 to 35.00 lower from 535.00-545.00. Distillers 
Dried Grain prices in Eastern Corn-belt were steady to 3.00 higher from 170.00-
186.00; Chicago area steady from 175.00-180.00; Nebraska was steady to 4.00 lower 
from 160.00-170.00; Minnesota was steady to 5.00 lower from 170.00-175.00; Kansas was 
mixed, 3.00 lower to 5.00 higher from 165.00-180.00; Iowa was steady to 4.00 higher 
from 160.00-197.00; Northern Missouri was 6.00 to 15.00 higher from 175.00-185.00; 
South Dakota was 1.00 to 7.00 higher from 161.00-175.00; St. Louis was steady to 5.00 
higher from 135.00-175.00; Wisconsin was steady from 160.00-175.00; California was 
2.00 to 15.00 higher from at 243.00-245.00; Pacific Northwest mills were steady from 
228.00-240.00.

WHEAT MILLFEEDS: Wheat Middlings in Buffalo, NY were 5.00 to 10.00 higher from 
110.00-125.00; Kansas City was steady to 25.00 lower from 85.00-95.00; Minneapolis 
was 3.00 lower from 80.00-114.00; St. Louis was 15.00 to 27.00 lower from 115.00-
123.00. Wheat Millrun delivered Portland was steady at 145.00; FOB Los Angeles mill 
was steady to 2.00 higher from 120.00-172.00.

OTHERS: In the south Rice Bran, Millfeed and Rice Hulls were steady. In California, 
Rice Bran prices were steady. Alfalfa Meal prices were steady across the nation this 
past week.
