USDA-SJ: Daily National Grain Market Summary

St. Joseph, MO - Fri May 19, 2017 - USDA-MO Dept Ag Market News

Daily National Grain Market Summary

Compared to yesterday, grains and soybeans bids were higher. The fears are
easing over the political developments in both the U.S. and Brazil which has
been beneficial to the market. Wet, cooler weather is expected in the Western
Corn Belt and Plains which is also favorable for the market, as were reports
that yesterday’s break generated soybean buying interest from China. Advances
were capped by questionable export demand and news that Mexico sourced grain
from South America, even at a higher value than U.S. offerings. Wheat was
mostly 5 to 12 cents higher. Corn was mostly 6 to 9 cents higher. Soybeans
were mostly 2 to 9 cents higher. Sorghum was 11 cents higher.
