USDA-SJ: Daily National Grain Market Summary

   Daily National Grain Market Summary

Compared to yesterday, cash bids for corn and soybean were higher, with wheat
bids lower. Many are still digesting the projections and estimates in
yesterday’s August WASDE report and many continue to debate whether key growing
areas received the needed amount of precipitation throughout crucial development
states. On a brighter note from yesterday’s report, there was a 50 million
bushel increase in the export estimate for soybeans. The USDA’s Farm Service
Agency also released preventative planting numbers yesterday, with corn and
soybean both having small amounts. Wheat was mostly 1 to 7 cents lower. Corn
was 3 to 6 cents higher. Sorghum was 6 cents higher. Soybeans were 3 to 7
cents higher.
