USDA-SJ: Daily National Grain Market Summary

St. Joseph, MO - Tue, Nov 14, 2017 - USDA-MO Dept of Ag Market News

   Daily National Grain Market Summary
Compared to Thursday, cash bids for corn, soybeans, and sorghum were lower
and wheat was mixed. The corn market is still feeling the effects of last
Thursday’s WASDE report which estimated a higher than expected 14.58 billion
bushel corn crop. Soybeans also closed lower today, influence by a bearish
corn market as well as favorable weather conditions in South America. Wheat
markets gained little support today from some added commercial buying
interest. USDA said that 95% of this year’s winter wheat crop has been
planted and 84% has emerged. Wheat was 4 cents lower to 4 cents higher.
Corn was mostly 4 cents lower. Soybeans were mostly 5 to 6 cents lower.
Sorghum was 8 cents lower.
