USDA-SJ: Daily National Grain Market Summary

Daily National Grain Market Summary

  Compared to yesterday, cash bids for corn and sorghum were higher, while wheat
and soybeans were mixed.  USDA's estimate of world ending corn stocks was
increased from 157.0 to 159.35 mmt, which is still down 20% from the previous
season.  U.S. ending corn stocks were lower-than-expected at 1.813 billion
bushels (bb), down from 2.14 bb in the previous year.  USDA estimated U.S.
ending soybean stocks at 885 mb, with world ending soybean stocks estimate
increasing from 108.3 to 110.04 mmt (4.04 bb).  USDA increased its estimate of
U.S. ending wheat stocks from 935 to 956 mb for 2018-19.  Wheat was from 2 1/2
cents lower to 1 cent higher.  Corn was a 1/2 to 18 1/2 cents higher.  Soybeans
were from 9 cents lower to 9 cents higher.  Sorghum was 11 1/2 cents higher.
