SC Farm Report on Tuesday

   Cattle at SC Auctions on Monday: No comparisons made this week due to 
limited comparable sales. Feeder Steers Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 
295.00-325.00, 500-600 lbs 280.00-323.00. Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 
1 400-500 lbs 285.00-330.00, 500-600 lbs 275.00-315.00. Feeder Heifers: 
Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 255.00-289.00, 500-600 lbs 240.00-267.50. 
Slaughter cows 2.00 to 3.00 higher. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 
115.00-137.00; Boners 80%-85% lean 119.00-135.00; Lean 85-90% lean 
101.00-124.00; Lean low dressing 72.50-110.00. Slaughter Bulls: Average 
Dressing 1320-1955 lbs 133.00-159.00; High Dressing 1640-2000 lbs 160.00-
168.00; Low Dressing 770-1670 lbs 97.00-129.00.  
   Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 2 935-1035 lbs Young to Middle Aged 
Cows with calves under 300 lbs 1125.00-2150.00 per pair. Medium and Large 
3 655 lbs Middle Aged Cow with calf under 300 lbs 1250.00 per pair. 
Medium and Large 3 1115 lbs Young Aged Cow with Calf over 300 lbs 1675.00 
per pair. 
   Hogs on Monday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs price was 0.45 higher at 
69.81. Sows live price 300-450 lbs 54.69; 450-500 lbs 59.11; 500-550 lbs 
62.74.     
   SC Grain on Tuesday: Corn was mostly 2 to 4 cents higher, one location 
13 cents higher; elevator bids 4.07-5.03, processor bids 5.03-5.08. 
Soybeans were 6 cents higher; elevator bids 10.32-11.27, processor bid 
12.12, and export 12.27. Wheat was 3 to 15 cents higher; elevator bids 
5.45.
   Cotton on Tuesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.70 
lower at 78.47.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
