SC Farm Report on Wednesday

   No trends are available this week due to holiday closings December 24, 
2018 through January 4, 2019. Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 
lbs 143.00-153.00, 500-600 lbs 137.00-147.00.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and 
Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 140.00-151.00; 500-600 lbs 121.00-132.00. Feeder 
Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 120.00-136.00; 500-600 lbs 
112.00-127.00.  Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 47.00-52.00; Boners 
80-85% lean 48.00-58.00; Lean 85-90% lean 42.00-52.00; Lean Low Dressing 
35.00-40.00. Slaughter bulls: 1410-1810 lbs 62.50-78.00.
   Cow/Calf Pairs: N/A.  
   Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was at 39.09.  Sows live 
price 300-450 lbs 29.95; 450-500 lbs 34.12; 500-550 lbs 36.95.
   SC Grain on Wednesday:  Corn was 2 cents higher; elevator bids 4.10-
4.22, processor bids 4.12-4.67. Soybeans were 5 to 8 cents higher; 
elevator bids 8.49-8.99, processor bid 9.24, and export 9.24.  New crop 
wheat bids were 1 to 2 cents higher; elevator bids 4.91-5.30.  
   Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 1.46 
higher at 71.13.  
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
