SC Farm Report on Tuesday

    Cattle at SC Auctions on Monday:  Compared to last week, all classes 
of feeder cattle were 2.00 to 4.00 higher.  Feeder Steers: Medium and 
Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 148.00-167.00, 500-550 lbs 140.00-154.00.  Feeder 
Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 146.00-167.00, 500-600 lbs 
123.00-147.00. Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 120.00-
134.00, 500-600 lbs 118.00-126.00.  Slaughter cows were 2.00 to 3.00 
higher.  Slaughter cows:  Breakers 75-80% lean N/A; Boners 85-85% lean 
44.00-67.00; Lean 85-90% lean 48.00-53.00; Lean low dressing 31.00-
43.00. Slaughter bulls were 2.00 to 3.00 higher.  Slaughter Bulls: 1075-
2050 lbs 55.00-88.00. 
   Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1-2 920-1045 lbs Young Age Cows with 
300-330 lbs calves 1080.00-1375.00 per pair.  
   Hogs on Monday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs was 0.33 higher at 40.36.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 27.29; 450-500 lbs 30.18; 500-550 lbs 33.92. 
   SC Grain on Tuesday.  Corn was 2 to 3 cents lower; elevator bids 4.05-
4.17, processor bids 4.07-4.63.  Soybeans were mostly 4 cents lower; 
elevator bids 8.44-8.79, processor bid 9.19 and export 9.19.  New Crop 
Wheat was 2 to 6 cents lower; elevator bids 4.85-5.25. 
   Cotton on Tuesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.05 
higher at 71.65. 
   Fruits & Vegetables:  Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
