SC Farm Report on Wednesday

   Cattle at SC Auctions on Tuesday:  Compared to last week, feeder 
cattle were 2.00 to 3.00 higher based on limited comparable sales.  
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 146.00-167.00, 500-550 
lbs 144.00-146.00.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 
139.00-168.00; 500-600 lbs 130.00-150.00. Feeder Heifers: Medium and 
Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 125.00-145.00; 500-600 lbs 119.00-131.00.  
Slaughter cows were 2.00 to 3.00 higher. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% 
lean N/A; Boners 80-85% lean 48.00-57.00; Lean 85-90% lean 41.00-54.00; 
Lean Low Dressing 30.00-40.00. Slaughter bulls were too few to trend.  
Slaughter bulls: 1000-2390 lbs 62.00-89.00.
   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium 1-2 920-1060 lbs Young to Middle Age Cow with 
80-210 lbs calf 510.00-730.00 per pair.  
   Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 1.30 higher at 40.40.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs N/A; 450-500 lbs N/A; 500-550 lbs N/A.
   SC Grain on Wednesday:  Corn was 3 to 4 cents higher; elevator bids 
4.09-4.20, processor bids 4.11-4.66.  Soybeans were 1 to 2 cents higher; 
elevator bids 8.46-8.81, processor bid 9.21, and export 9.21.  New crop 
wheat bids were 1 to 3 cents higher; elevator bids 4.88-5.28.  
   Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.21 
higher at 71.86.  
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
