SC Farm Report on Wednesday

   Cattle at SC Auctions on Tuesday:  Compared to last week, there were 
too few comparable sales to establish trends.  Feeder Steers: Medium and 
Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 155.00-160.00, 500-600 lbs 134.00-140.00.  Feeder 
Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 149.00-165.00; 500-600 lbs 
137.00-143.00.  Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 125.00-
146.00; 500-600 lbs 120.00-135.00.  Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 
47.00-62.00; Boners 80-85% lean 46.00-66.00; Lean 85-90% lean N/A; Lean 
Low Dressing 30.00-39.00.  Slaughter bulls: 1615-2120 lbs 60.00-91.00.
   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1-2 1030 lbs Young to Middle Age Cow 
with 305 lbs calves 975.00 per pair.  
   Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 0.93 higher at 39.24.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 30.18; 450-500 lbs 36.38; 500-550 lbs 39.01.
   SC Grain on Wednesday:  New Crop corn was steady to 1 cent lower; 
elevator bids 4.07-4.33, processor bids 4.37-4.67.  Soybeans were mostly steady 
to 1 cent lower; elevator bids 8.41-8.77, processor bid 9.26, and export 9.26.  
New crop wheat bids were 1 to 5 cents higher; elevator bids 4.87-5.26.  
   Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.08 
higher at 67.36.  
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State 
Farmers Market on Wednesday.  Beets 25 lb sks Red type topped 16.00; 
Cilantro ctns bnchd 30s 10.00; Greens dz bnchs Turnips/Mustards 20.00,
