SC Farm Report on Monday

   National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,377 lbs at 126.69, heifers 1,224 lbs at 126.04. Dressed 
delivered steers 891 lbs at 204.58, heifers 798 lbs at 205.18. Weekly 
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 233.49, up 
0.99, and Select 220.67, up 0.17.
   National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm.  Early weaned pigs steady.  
All feeder pigs 1.00 per head higher on light receipts. Demand moderate 
for moderate offerings. Receipts include 42% formulated prices. Feeder 
pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis 65.19; 40 lbs cash basis 96.35.
   Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 0.03 higher at 61.00.  
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 54.11, 450-499 lbs 58.89, and 500-549 lbs 
60.80.
   SC Grain on Monday. New Crop corn was steady to 1 cent higher; 
elevator bids 4.05-4.11, processor bids 4.10-4.40.  Soybeans were 6 to 7 
cents lower; elevator bids 7.72-8.17, processor bid 8.68, export bid 
8.67. New crop wheat was mostly 7 to 8 cents lower; elevator bids 4.15-
4.45. 
   Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.75 
lower at 73.70.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
