SC Farm Report on Monday

   National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,390 lbs at 113.02, heifers 1,270 lbs at 112.28. Dressed 
delivered steers 898 lbs at 183.00, heifers 801 lbs at 182.80. Weekly 
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 213.11, dn 
1.53, and Select 188.97, dn 2.59.
   National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm. Early weaned pigs 1.00 to 2.00 
per head higher.  All feeder pigs 3.00 per head lower.  Demand moderate 
for moderate offerings.  Receipts include 45% formulated prices. 
Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis 34.05; 40 lbs cash basis 47.77.
   Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was N/A.  
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 28.06, 450-499 lbs 35.14, and 500-549 lbs 
36.18.
   SC Grain on Monday.  New Crop corn was 8 to 9 cents lower; elevator 
bids 4.48-4.62, processor bids 4.52-5.47; Soybeans were 13 to 14 cents 
lower; elevator bids 8.13-8.48, processor bid 9.23, and export 9.08.  
Wheat was mostly 9 to 18 cents lower; elevator bids 4.72-5.07. 
   Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was .54 higher 
at 59.79.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State 
Farmers Market on Monday.  Beans 8 lb filmbags shelled 26.00-30.00, Lima 
Shelled Frozen 20.00; Beets dz bnchs Red and Gold type 20.00, 25 lb sks
