SC Farm Report on Thursday  
  	
   Cattle at SC Auctions on Wednesday:  Compared to last week, there 
were too few comparable sales to establish trends. Feeder Steers: Medium 
and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 130.00-145.00, 500-600 lbs 125.00-148.00. 
Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2 400-450 lbs 120.00-135.00; 500-600 lbs 
115.00-129.00.  Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 119.00-
127.00; 500-600 lbs 113.00-123.00.  Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 
58.00-70.00; Boners 80-85% lean 60.00-76.00; Lean 85-90% lean 52.00-
73.00; Lean Low Dressing 40.00-56.00. Slaughter bulls: 1265-2120 lbs 
83.00-98.00.
   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1-2 1025-1190 lbs Young to Middle 
Age Cows with calves under 300 lbs 1100.00-1200.00 per pair.  Small 1-2 
790-935 lbs Young to Middle Age Cows with calves under 300 lbs 685.00-
875.00 per pair.
   Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 2.61 higher at 57.99.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 27.91; 450-500 lbs 31.01; 500-550 lbs 35.56. 
   SC Grain on Thursday.  New Crop Corn was 3 to 6 cents lower; 
elevator bids 4.53-4.73, processor bids 4.68-5.03.  Soybeans were 4 to 9 
cents lower; elevator bids 8.07-8.47, processor bid 9.17, export bid 
9.02.  Wheat was 2 cents higher and one location was 6 cents lower; 
elevator bids 4.85-5.19. 
   Cotton on Thursday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.08 
lower at 60.81. 
   Fruits & Vegetables:  Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State 
Farmers Market on Thursday.  Beans approx. 27 lb sks Lima type Green
