SC Farm Report on Friday   
	          
   SC Cattle Auctions Weekly Review:  Compared to last week, feeder 
steers were steady to 5.00 higher.  Feeder heifers and feeder bulls were 
unevenly steady.  Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 130.00-
145.00; 500-600 lbs 120.00-148.00.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2 
400-500 lbs 120.00-139.00; 500-600 lbs 113.00-135.00.  Feeder Heifers: 
Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 115.00-127.00, 500-600 lbs 113.00-
124.00.  Slaughter cows were 3.00 higher. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% 
lean 58.00-70.00; Boners 80-85% lean 53.00-76.00; Lean 85-90% lean 50.00-
73.00; Lean low dressing 35.00-56.00.  Slaughter bulls were steady.  
Slaughter bulls: 1000-2200 lbs 70.00-100.00. 
   Goats: [277]  Week Ago: 310.  Reported Monday to Wednesday. Slaughter 
and replacement classes sold on a per head basis and weights are 
estimated.  Kids:  Sel 1 Under 20 lbs 20.00-45.00, 20-40 lbs 30.00-80.00
and one @ 100.00, 40-60 lbs 60.00-115.00, 60-80 lbs one @ 260.00 Fancy; 
Sel 2 20-40 lbs 30.00-40.00, 40-60 lbs 40.00-60.00.  Wethers: Slaughter 1 
and 2 80-100 lbs one @ 95.00, 100-150 lbs 190.00-235.00, 150-250 lbs 
260.00-405.00.  Does/Nannies: Sel 1 50-70 lbs 75.00-85.00, 70-100 lbs 
90.00-150.00, 100-140 lbs 120.00-225.00; Sel 2 50-70 lbs 55.00-75.00, 70-
100 lbs 85.00-100.00, 100-140 lbs one @ 130.00.  Bucks/Billies: Sel 1 70-
100 lbs 130.00-175.00, 100-150 lbs 130.00-300.00, 150-250 lbs 165.00-
330.00; Sel 2 70-100 lbs 100.00-120.00, 100-150 lbs 130.00.
   SC Grain on Friday. New Crop corn was 3 to 4 cents lower; elevator 
bids 4.49-4.70, processor bids 4.64-4.99.  Soybeans were steady to 1 cent 
higher and one location was 4 cents lower; elevator bids 8.08-8.43, 
processor bid 9.18, and export 9.03.  Wheat bids were 3 to 4 cents lower 
and one location was steady; elevator bids 4.81-5.16.  
   Cotton on Friday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.43 
higher at 61.24. 
   Fruits & Vegetables:  Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State 
Farmers Market on Friday.  Beans approx. 27 lb sks Lima Green 20.00-
