SC Farm Report on Tuesday

   Cattle at SC Auctions on Monday:  Compared to last week, all classes 
of feeder cattle were unevenly steady. Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-
2 400-500 lbs 121.00-141.00, 500-600 lbs 120.00-137.00.  Feeder Bulls: 
Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 124.00-143.00, 500-600 lbs 113.00-
130.00.  Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 109.00-124.00, 
500-600 lbs 106.00-114.00.  Slaughter cows were steady to 2.00 higher.  
Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 42.00-53.00; Boners 85-85% lean 
41.00-63.00; Lean 85-90% lean 40.00-54.00; Lean low dressing 28.00-41.00.  
Slaughter bulls were steady based on light receipts.  Slaughter Bulls: 
1535-2090 lbs 74.00-83.00 and Low Dressing 1210-1635 lbs 65.00-72.00. 
   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1-2 1515 lbs Young Age Cow with calf 
over 300 lbs 1050.00 per pair.  Medium and Large 1-2 1040 lbs Young Age 
Cow with calf under 300 lbs 1050.00 per pair. Medium and Large 2 775-965 
lbs Middle Age Cows with calves under 300 lbs 650.00-670.00 per pair.
   Hogs on Monday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs was 0.57 higher at 44.18.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 33.60; 450-500 lbs 37.34; 500-550 lbs 38.40. 
   SC Grain on Tuesday:  Corn was 1 cent lower; elevator bids 4.28-4.38, 
processor bids 4.43-4.88.  Soybeans were 1 cent higher; elevator bids 
8.89-9.24, processor bid 9.34, and export 9.44.  Wheat was mostly 5 cents 
lower and one location was 1 cent higher; elevator bids 5.18-5.28. 
   Cotton on Tuesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.11 
higher at 65.17. 
   Fruits & Vegetables:  Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
