SC Farm Report on Monday

   National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,431 lbs at 108.84, heifers 1,307 lbs at 109.43. Dressed 
delivered steers 924 lbs at 174.05, heifers 861 lbs at 172.68. Weekly 
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 207.15, up 
0.21, and Select 199.48, dn 2.32.
   National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm. Early weaned pigs were 3.00
per head lower.  All feeder pigs were steady to weak. Demand light to 
moderate for moderate offerings.  Receipts include 42% formulated prices. 
Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis 25.36; 40 lbs cash basis 55.44.
   Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 0.20 lower at 39.29. 
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 25.36, 450-499 lbs 30.14, and 500-549 lbs 
33.07.
   SC Grain on Monday.  Corn was mostly 11 to 19 cents lower and one 
location was 29 cents higher; elevator bids 3.91-4.04, processor bids 
4.25-4.75.  Soybeans were 17 to 27 cents lower; elevator bids 7.81-8.27, 
processor bid 8.62, and export 8.67.  New Crop Wheat bids were 7 to 8 
cents lower; elevator bids 4.79-5.34.  
   Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 1.69
lower at 56.55.
