SC Farm Report on Tuesday

   Cattle at SC Auctions on Monday:  No comparisons made due to limited 
comparable sales.  Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs not 
available, 500-600 lbs 123.00-147.00.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2 
400-500 lbs 130.00-143.00, 500-600 lbs 116.00-138.00.  Feeder Heifers: 
Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 115.00-129.00, 500-600 lbs 112.00-
116.00.  Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 68.00-77.00; Boners 85-85% 
lean 62.00-82.00; Lean 85-90% lean 58.00-70.00; Lean low dressing 45.00-
58.00. Slaughter Bulls: Average Dressing 1275-2255 lbs 86.00-107.00; High 
Dressing 2005-2105 lbs 110.00-118.00; Low Dressing 1500 lbs one @ 78.00.   
   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 2 730-1000 lbs Middle Age Cows with 
calves under 300 lbs 780.00-885.00 per pair.
   Hogs on Monday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs was 1.11 lower at 41.19.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 29.71; 450-500 lbs 33.62; 500-550 lbs 36.02. 
   SC Grain on Tuesday:  Corn was mostly 1 to 4 cents higher; elevator 
bids 3.86-3.97, processor bids 4.17-4.75. Soybeans were 2 to 3 cents 
higher; elevator bids 8.46-8.92, processor bid 9.27, and export 9.32.
New Crop Wheat was steady to 1 cent lower; elevator bids 5.35-5.90. 
   Cotton on Tuesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.74 
higher at 50.64. 
   Fruits & Vegetables:  Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
