SC Farm Report on Wednesday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Tuesday:  No comparisons available due to 
limited comparable sales.  Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 
lbs 133.00-149.00, 500-600 lbs 125.00-138.00.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and 
Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 129.00-145.00; 500-600 lbs 119.00-136.00.  Feeder 
Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 116.00-128.00; 500-600 lbs 
113.00-119.00. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 53.00-69.00; Boners 
80-85% lean 52.00-67.00; Lean 85-90% lean 51.00-62.00; Lean Low Dressing 
40.00-48.00.  Slaughter bulls: Average Dressing 780-1855 lbs 78.00-99.00; 
Low Dressing 1035 lbs one @ 67.00.
   Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 2 950-980 lbs Middle Age Cows with 
calf under 300 lbs 775.00-875.00 per pair.  
   Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 0.15 lower at 31.35. 
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 25.64; 450-500 lbs 27.35; 500-550 lbs 30.39.
   SC Grain on Wednesday:  Corn was 1 to 3 cents higher; elevator 
bids 3.45-3.74, processor bids 3.74-4.34.  Soybeans were 5 to 6 cents 
higher; elevator bids 7.91-8.37, processor bid 8.77, and export 8.92. New 
Crop Wheat bids were 9 to 10 cents lower; elevator bids 4.86-5.31.  
   Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 1.34 
higher at 55.12. 
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
