SC Farm Report on Wednesday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Tuesday:  No comparisons available due to 
limited comparable sales.  Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 
lbs 136.00-150.00, 500-600 lbs 130.00-140.00.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and 
Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 130.00-151.00; 500-600 lbs 125.00-133.00.  Feeder 
Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 115.00-130.00; 500-600 lbs 
115.00-123.00. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 58.00-66.00; Boners 
80-85% lean 55.00-72.00; Lean 85-90% lean 50.00-66.00; Lean Low Dressing 
40.00-50.00.  Slaughter bulls: Average Dressing 1175 lbs one @ 97.00.
   Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1-2 910-1390 lbs Young to Middle age 
Cows with calves under 300 lbs 900.00-1175.00 per pair. Small 1-2 615-940 
lbs Middle Age Cow with calf under 300 lbs 700.00-850.00 per pair.  
   Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 0.19 higher at 30.41.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 17.39; 450-500 lbs 21.39; 500-550 lbs 24.38.
   SC Grain on Wednesday:  Corn was 1 to 2 cents lower; elevator 
bids 3.19-3.89, processor bids 3.89-4.04.  Soybeans were 4 to 5 cents 
higher; elevator bids 7.76-8.52, processor bid 8.92, and export 9.07. New 
Crop Wheat bids were 10 to 16 cents higher; elevator bids 4.84-4.98.  
   Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.99 
lower at 56.21. 
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
