SC Farm Report on Thursday  
  	
   Cattle at SC Auctions on Thursday:  Compared to last week, feeder 
steers and feeder heifers were steady.  Feeder bulls were too few to 
trend.  Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 135.00-150.00; 
500-600 lbs 132.00-133.00. Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 
127.00-132.50; 500-600 lbs 128.00-138.00. Feeder Heifers: Medium and 
Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 115.00-130.00; 500-600 lbs 108.00. Slaughter cows 
were steady to 2.00 higher. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean average 
dressing 60.00-69.00; Boners 80-85% lean 53.00-77.00; Lean 85-90% lean 
51.00-63.00; Lean Low Dressing 43.00. Slaughter bulls were steady to 2.00 
higher.  Slaughter bulls: Average Dressing 1665-1945 lbs 92.00-106.00; 
High Dressing 1820-1875 lbs 115.00; Low Dressing 1315-1475 lbs 81.00-
82.00.
   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1-2 885-1365 lbs Young to Middle Age 
Cows with calves under 300 lbs 775.00-1700.00 per pair.  Medium and Large 
1-2 815-1320 lbs Young to Middle Age Cows with calves over 300 lbs 
1000.00-1575.00 per pair.  Small 1-2 725-810 lbs Young to Middle Age Cows 
with calves under 300 lbs 660.00-800.00 per pair.  Small 1-2 620-750 lbs 
Middle Age Cows with calves over 300 lbs 675.00-935.00 per pair.
   Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs live price was 0.59 higher 
at 31.52. Sows live price 300-450 lbs 18.44; 450-500 lbs 21.51; 500-550 
lbs 24.50. 
   SC Grain on Thursday.  Corn was 7 cents higher; elevator bids 3.27-
3.97, processor bids 3.97-4.12.  Soybeans were 1 to 2 cents lower; 
elevator bids 7.77-8.52, processor bid 8.92 and export at 9.07. New Crop 
Wheat was 10 cents higher; elevator bids 4.84-4.99. 
   Cotton on Thursday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.77 
lower at 55.57. 
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
