SC Farm Report on Monday

   National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,460 lbs at 115.71, heifers 1,308 lbs at 116.61. Dressed 
delivered steers 939 lbs at 183.83, heifers 845 lbs at 184.52. Weekly 
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 379.04, dn 
331.36, and Select 348.59, dn 37.73.
   National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm. Early weaned pigs were steady.  
All feeder pigs 1.00 per head lower. Demand light for moderate to heavy 
offerings.  Receipts include 36% formulated prices.  Feeder pigs 10-12 
lbs cash basis 7.05; 40 lbs cash basis 17.47.
   Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was at 28.54 dn 0.36  Sows
 live price 300-449 lbs 16.98, 450-499 lbs 22.35, and 500-549 lbs 24.21.
   SC Grain on Monday.  Corn was mostly 2 to 3 cents lower, one location
22 cents lower; elevator bids 3.23-3.93, processor bids 3.73-4.08. 
Soybeans were mostly steady to 1 cent lower; elevator bids 7.70-8.46, 
processor bid 8.80, and export 8.90.  
New Crop Wheat bids were 3 cents lower; elevator bids 4.67-4.87.
   Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 2.11
higher at 58.06.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
