SC Farm Report on Tuesday

   Cattle at SC Auctions on Monday:  Compared to last week, all classes 
of feeder cattle were steady to 2.00 higher.  Feeder Steers: Medium and 
Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 139.00-153.00, 500-600 lbs 130.00-145.00.  Feeder 
Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 140.00-150.00, 500-600 lbs 
127.00-143.00.  Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 120.00-
135.00, 500-600 lbs 112.00-126.00.  Slaughter cows were 2.00 lower.  
Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 59.00-68.00; Boners 85-85% lean 
53.00-74.00; Lean 85-90% lean 50.00-69.00; Lean low dressing 45.00-51.00.  
Slaughter bulls were steady.  Slaughter Bulls: Average Dressing 1055-1950 
lbs 91.00-101.00; High Dressing 1550-1795 lbs 109.00-111.00; Low Dressing 
1025-1820 lbs 60.00-86.00.   
   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 2 1010 lbs Middle Age Cow with calf 
under 150 lbs 1230.00 per pair.  Small 1-2 885 lbs Middle Age Cow with 
calf under 150 lbs 730.00 per pair.
   Hogs on Monday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs was 0.29 lower at 26.68.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 18.67; 450-500 lbs 21.18; 500-550 lbs 24.28. 
   SC Grain on Tuesday.  Corn was 6 to 7 cents lower; elevator bids 
3.27-3.97, processor bids 3.77-4.12.  Soybeans were 1 to 2 cents 
lower; elevator bids 7.93-8.68, processor bid 9.03, and export 9.13.  
New Crop Wheat bids were 6 to 12 cents lower; elevator bids 4.72-4.84.
   Cotton on Tuesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade 0.29 lower  
at 58.27. 
   Fruits & Vegetables:  Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
