SC Farm Report on Tuesday

   Cattle at SC Auctions on Monday:  No trends available due to limited 
comparable sales.  Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 
143.00-150.00, 500-600 lbs 130.00-142.50.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 
1-2 400-500 lbs 139.00-146.00, 500-600 lbs none reported.  Feeder 
Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 126.00-133.00, 500-600 lbs 
126.00-131.00.   Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 52.00-62.00; Boners 
85-85% lean 58.00-69.00; Lean 85-90% lean 55.00-66.00; Lean low dressing 
44.00-54.00.  Slaughter Bulls: Average Dressing 1380-2040 lbs 86.00-
96.00; High Dressing none reported; Low Dressing 910-1480 lbs 52.00-
79.00. 
   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1-2 890-1135 lbs Young to Middle Age 
Cows with calves under 300 lbs 850.00-1060.00 per pair.   
   Hogs on Monday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs price had no comparison at 
54.71.  Sows live price 300-450 lbs 60.76; 450-500 lbs 62.57; 500-550 lbs 
67.08.   
   SC Grain on Tuesday: Corn was 3 to 4 cents lower; elevator bids 5.22-
5.72, processor bids 5.82-5.87.  New Crop Soybeans were 30 cents lower;
elevator bids 11.58-11.88, processor bid 12.38-12.48, and export 
12.33-12.45.  Wheat bids were mostly 2 to 3 cents higher; elevator bids 
6.50-6.84.    
   Cotton on Tuesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 3.41 
lower at 106.13. 
   Fruits & Vegetables:  Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
