SC Farm Report on Wednesday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Tuesday:  No comparisons made due to limited 
comparable sales.  Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 450-500 lbs 
139.00-140.00, 550-600 lbs 133.00-135.00.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 
1-2 400-500 lbs 138.00-147.50; 500-600 lbs none reported.  Feeder 
Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 450-500 lbs 123.00-127.50; 500-600 lbs 
120.00-128.00.  Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 55.00-72.00; Boners 
80-85% lean 58.00-73.00; Lean 85-90% lean 57.00-63.00; Lean Low Dressing 
44.00-55.00.  Slaughter bulls: Average Dressing 1380-2085 lbs 84.00-
95.00; High Dressing none reported; Low Dressing 1010-1545 lbs 65.00-
81.00.
   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Small 1-2 625-945 lbs Young to Middle Age Cows with 
calves under 300 lbs 550.00-850.00 per pair.  Small 1-2 715 lbs Young Age 
Cow with calf over 300 lbs 925.00 per pair.
   Hogs on Tuesday:  Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs 1.47 lower at 53.40. Sows 
live price 300-450 lbs 58.26; 450-500 lbs 61.88; 500-550 lbs 65.26.
   SC Grain on Wednesday:  Corn was 10 cents lower; elevator bids 5.12-
5.62, processor bids 5.72-5.77.  New Crop Soybeans were 3 to 4 cents 
lower; elevator bids 11.55-11.85, processor bids 12.35-12.45, and export 
12.30-12.41.  Wheat bids were mostly 15 cents lower; elevator bids 
6.50-6.76.  
   Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 2.52 
lower at 103.61. 
   Fruits & Vegetables:  Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
