SC Farm Report on Thursday  
  	
   Cattle at SC Auctions on Thursday:  No comparisons this week due to 
limited comparable sales.  Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 
lbs 140.00-150.00; 500-600 lbs none reported.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and 
Large 1-2 450-500 lbs 140.00-147.50; 500-600 lbs none reported.  Feeder 
Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 121.50-128.00, 500-600 lbs 
120.00-121.00.  Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 52.00-62.00; Boners 
80-85% lean 51.00-66.00; Lean 85-90% lean 50.00-62.00; Lean Low Dressing 
40.00-53.00.  Slaughter bulls: Average Dressing 1410-3090 lbs 77.00-
93.00; High Dressing none reported; Low Dressing 1050-2190 lbs 64.00-
75.00.
   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1-2 1070-1150 lbs Young to Middle 
Age Cows with calves under 300 lbs 850.00-950.00 per pair.  Medium and 
Large 3 890 Middle Age Cows with calves under 300 lbs 475.00 per 
pair. Small 1-2 770-775 lbs Young to Middle Age Cows with calves under 
300 lbs 520.00-950.00 per pair.  
   Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs live price was 2.09 lower at 
51.31.  Sows live price 300-450 lbs 58.73; 450-500 lbs 60.42; 500-550 lbs 
64.40.
   SC Grain on Thursday.  Corn bids were 4 to 5 cents higher: elevator 
bids 5.16-5.66, processor bids 5.76-5.81.  New Crop soybeans bids were 11
cents higher; elevator bids 11.66-11.96, processor bids 12.46-12.56 
and export at 12.41-12.50.  Wheat bids were mostly 6 cents higher; 
elevator bids 6.50-6.74. 
   Cotton on Thursday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 3.24 
higher at 106.85.  
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
