SC Farm Report on Friday   
	          
   SC Cattle Auctions Weekly Review: Compared to last week, feeder steers 
were 6.00 higher.  Feeder heifers were 7.00 higher.  Feeder bulls were 
steady to 2.00 lower.  Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 
185.00-240.00; 500-600 lbs 186.00-220.00.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 
1-2 400-500 lbs 190.00-220.00; 500-600 lbs 180.00-212.50.  Feeder 
Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 178.00-206.00; 500-600 lbs 
170.00-186.00.  Slaughter cows were 9.00 higher.  Slaughter Cows: 
Breakers 75-80% lean 88.00-108.00; Boners 80-85% lean 84.00-114.00; High 
Dressing 110.00-123.00; Lean 85-90% lean 81.00-100.00; Lean low dressing 
53.00-88.00.  Slaughter bulls were 6.00 higher.  Slaughter Bulls: Average 
dressing 1030-2015 lbs 95.00-121.00; High Dressing 1220-2050 lbs 115.00-
134.00; Low Dressing 870-1350 lbs 80.00-94.00.
   Goats: [125] Week Ago: 137 Reported Monday to Wednesday. Slaughter 
and replacement classes sold on a per head basis and weights are 
estimated.  Kids: Sel 1 20-40 lbs 55.00-95.00, 40-60 lbs 80.00-125.00; 
Sel 2 20-40 lbs 25.00-50.00.  Does/Nannies: Sel 1 50-70 lbs 105.00-
190.00, 70-100 lbs 155.00, 100-140 lbs 150.00-185.00, 140-180 lbs 250.00-
290.00; Sel 2 50-70 lbs 110.00-117.50, 70-100 lbs 95.00-110.00, 100-140 
lbs 120.00.  Bucks/Billies: Sel 1 70-100 lbs 130.00-180.00 and one @ 
340.00, 100-150 lbs 150.00-235.00, 150-250 lbs 240.00-270.00; Sel 2 70-
100 lbs 70.00-120.00, 100-150 lbs 130.00, 150-250 lbs one @ 195.00.  
Wethers: Slaughter 1 and 2 70-100 lbs 125.00-135.00, 100-150 lbs 145.00-
340.00.
   SC Grain on Friday.  Corn bids were 1 to 2 cents higher; elevator bids 
6.49-7.59, processor bids 6.84-7.24.  Soybean bids were 15 cents lower; 
elevator bids 13.76-14.61, processor bid 15.36 and export 15.41.  New 
crop wheat bids were 2 to 10 cents higher; elevator bids 6.28-6.68.
   Cotton on Friday.  Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 1.33 
lower at 77.83.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
