SC Farm Report on Monday

   National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice.  Live FOB
steers 1,475 lbs at 177.82, heifers 1,317 lbs at 177.79. Dressed 
delivered steers 978 lbs at 281.42, heifers 834 lbs at 281.77. Weekly 
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 295.69, down 
4.46 and Select 268.67, down 0.87.
   National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm. Compared to last week, early 
weaned pigs and feeder pigs are 3.00 higher. Demand is good to moderate 
for heavy to moderate offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis 28.75; 
40 lbs cash basis 41.42.
   Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs price was not compared at 
52.45. Sows live price 300-449 lbs 59.77, 450-499 lbs 62.89, and 500-549 
lbs 64.25.
  SC Grain on Monday: Corn trend was mostly 2 cents higher; elevator bids 
4.54-5.19, processor bids 4.94-5.44. Soybeans trend were mostly 27 cents 
higher, one location 32 higher; elevator bids 12.62-13.22, processor bid 
13.72, and export 13.77. Wheat trend was mixed, 8 cents lower to 2 cents 
higher; elevator bids 4.54-5.03. 
   Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.26 
lower at 76.07.
