SC Farm Report on Monday

   National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,509 lbs at 243.17, heifers 1,329 lbs at 242.74. Dressed 
delivered steers 970 lbs at 383.68, heifers 856 lbs at 383.59. Weekly 
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 373.67, up 
9.99 and Select 349.55, up 7.13.
   National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm. Compared to last week: Early 
weaned pigs steady and feeder pigs are steady to 1.00 lower. Demand 
moderate for moderate offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis 54.95; 
40 lbs cash basis 71.14.
   Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs price was not available. 
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 88.93, 450-499 lbs 95.49, and 500-549 
lbs 97.35.
   SC Grain on Monday: Corn was 2 to 3 cents higher; elevator bids 
3.82-4.70, processor bid 4.60. Soybeans bids were 22 to 23 cents higher; 
elevator bids 9.29 and export 10.49. Wheat bids were 1 to 2 cents higher; 
elevator bids 4.55.
   Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 3 cents
lower at 64.29.
