Pacific Northwest Market Summary: Feed ingredient offers ended the
reporting week on Tuesday, April 30, mixed compared to last report's offers.
Oilseed Meal Markets: Offers for 47 percent protein Soybean Meal, for
nearby rail delivery to Pacific Northwest were steady to 6.90 lower from
331.10-354.00. Offers for soybean meal truck delivered to the Willamette
Valley were not available. Offers for nearby rail delivered to Pacific
Northwest Canola Meal, 34 to 36 percent protein were not available. Truck
delivered Willamette Valley canola meal offers, 34 to 36 percent protein were
also not available.
Whole Cottonseed: Whole Cottonseed offers for delivery to points in the
Pacific Northwest from the Midsouth in single boxcars were steady to 7.00
higher from 315.00-335.00. Offers for whole cottonseed trans-loaded onto
trucks and delivered to Willamette Valley dairies were also steady to 7.00
higher from 350.00-365.00.
Animal Proteins: Offers for 46 to 50 percent protein ruminant Meat and Bone
Meal, FOB Pacific Northwest plants, were 5.00 lower from 185.00-215.00. Offers
for ruminant meat and bone meal truck delivered to the Willamette Valley were
steady to 5.00 lower from 225.00-240.00.
Wheat Millrun: Feed mill offers for Wheat Millrun for nearby delivery,
loaded FOB the flour mill in Portland were steady at 170.00. Offers for wheat
millrun truck delivered to the Willamette Valley were steady at 170.00. Flour
mill offers for wheat millrun rail delivered to Portland on the Burlington
Northern Line from eastern Washington and eastern Oregon for nearby delivery
were 10.00 higher at 155.00. Offers for wheat millrun FOB eastern Oregon and
eastern Washington for nearby delivery trended steady to 5.00 higher from
95.00-105.00.
Alfalfa Products: Offers for Suncured Alfalfa Pellets, 15 percent protein,
delivered by truck to the Willamette Valley were steady at 325.00.
Distillers Dried Grains: Offers for Distillers Dried Grains delivered by
rail to feed mills in the Pacific Northwest were 15.00 to 21.00 lower from
190.00-202.00. Offers for distillers dried grains trans-loaded onto trucks and
delivered to Willamette Valley dairies were 18.00 lower from 205.00-220.00.
Coarse Feeding Grains: Offers for US 2 Barley for nearby delivery to
Portland in single rail cars for domestic use were steady from 206.00-210.00.
Offers for US 2 Barley truck delivered to the Willamette Valley were steady
from 194.00-212.00. US 2 Yellow Corn offers for truck delivery to points north
of Seattle were not available. Offers for US 2 Yellow Corn truck delivered to
points in the Seattle area trended 1.50 to 4.75 lower from 196.75-197.50.
Offers for US 2 Yellow Corn rail delivered to Portland trended 50 cents to 1.75
lower from 175.00-178.00. Offers for US 2 Yellow Corn truck delivered to the
Willamette Valley were not available. US 2 Yellow Corn offers for truck
delivery to the Yakima Valley were not available. Chicago May corn futures
closed at 3.5325, 2.00 cents lower than last report's closes. US 2 Heavy White
Oats truck delivered to Portland and Willamette Valley were steady from 210.00-
260.00.
