U.S. agricultural futures increase

Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) agricultural futures increased in the trading week ending of the 7th of February as investors went for technical buying due to better export sales.

The most active soybean contract for March delivery added 9.5 cents, or 1.09 percent, to set a total of USD8.82 per bushel.

March wheat increased 5 cents, or 0.9 percent, to reach USD5.5875 per bushel. March corn saw an increase of 2.25 cents, or 0.59 percent, to set at USD3.835 per bushel.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has announced on Thursday that the soybean export sales of the U.S. came in at a total of 703,800 metric tons in the week ending on the 30th of January for the 2019/2020 marketing year, representing a rise of 76 percent since a week earlier and 29 percent from the previous four-week average.
