The company will supply 600,000tpa of LNG to Macquarie's Commodities and Global Markets business under the agreement.
Mexico-based AMIGO LNG, a joint venture between Epcilon LNG and LNG Alliance, has entered into a 15-year sale and purchase agreement (SPA) with Macquarie Group for the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG).
Under the long-term deal, AMIGO LNG is set to supply 600,000 tonnes per annum (tpa) of LNG to the Commodities and Global Markets business of Macquarie, with deliveries expected to begin in the second half of 2028.
This coincides with the anticipated start-up of AMIGO LNG's inaugural liquefaction train.
LNG Alliance CEO Muthu Chezhian said: "It is a privilege to have Macquarie join our portfolio of LNG offtakers.
"Their reputation as a trusted and innovative global energy player reinforces the strong fundamentals of our project and highlights the long-term value AMIGO LNG will bring to global buyers."
The deal underscores AMIGO LNG's strategic position in Guaymas, Sonora, which offers direct connectivity to US Permian Basin gas.
This location provides access to key shipping routes, ensuring rapid transit times and competitive costs for LNG deliveries to the Asia-Pacific and Latin American markets.

AMIGO LNG aims to implement a US liquefaction solution and advanced marine infrastructure, focusing on safety, sustainability, environmental care and operational performance.
This new partnership follows a recent 20-year SPA signed by AMIGO LNG with Gunvor Singapore.
