The Australian sharemarket rallied again on Wednesday, with the S&P/ASX 200 adding 0.9 per cent to close at a new high of 9,227.8 points. The local bourse was boosted by a positive lead from Wall Street, with both the Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 closing at record highs in response to growing hopes of a deal to end the Iran war. BHP rose 3.3 per cent to $62.54, WiseTech Global was up 5.4 per cent at $39.91 and Neuren Pharmaceuticals surged 16.3 per cent to $21.64. However, Woodside Energy was down 3.6 per cent at $31.78 and the Commonwealth Bank fell 1.4 per cent to $178.23..
