Tasmania's Minister for Business, Industry and Resources Felix Ellis says a $1.5 billion green manufacturing hub at Bell Bay in the state's north will be a 'boon for the entire state'. The proposed hub is being developed by Perth-based start-up PolarBlue, which is being backed by Japanese company Sumitomo and Wilson Transformer Company, with it being planned that the hub will use industrial 3D printing to construct floating wind power platforms that will produce zero-emissions electricity or liquid fuels..
