Bentley Appoints Sustainability and Community Communications Manager

Jan 19, 2026 (MarketLine via COMTEX) --

Max Harris-Jones has been appointed to manage sustainability and community communications at Bentley Motors.

Bentley Motors has announced the appointment of Max Harris-Jones as its new Sustainability and Community Communications Manager, reporting directly to Wayne Bruce, Chief Communications and DEIB Officer. Max will work closely with the Bentley Board of Management, the leadership team and regional networks to shape and deliver communications that support the company’s sustainability ambitions and its engagement with the wider community, in line with its Beyond100+ strategy.

Max has worked at Bentley for 11 years, starting his career as a Graduate Engineer and holding a number of positions since. His previous role was Technical Assistant to Manufacturing Member of the Board, Andreas Lehe, where he led and delivered key cross-functional initiatives in the manufacturing strategy, including the ongoing transformation of the Dream Factory in Crewe.

Prior to this, Max was a Technical Manager in Mulliner and Motorsports, where he held responsibility as the logistics operational project lead for the Classics Continuation Series and Motorsport parts and change management, carrying forward the marque’s historic craftsmanship and enduring legacy.

Supporting Bentley’s ambition for a more sustainable and inclusive future, founding BeProud Network member Max plays an active role across the company’s DEIB initiatives, participating in events such as Manchester Pride and Attitude 101, helping to champion visibility and representation.  In 2025, Max was recognised among the Attitude 101 cohort of trailblazing individuals from across multiple industries, marking continued dedication to driving positive change.

Commenting on Max’s appointment, Wayne Bruce, said:

“Over a year into our Beyond100+ strategy, sustainability and our connection to the communities we work within remains vital. With the addition of Max to the team, we strengthen the ability to drive meaningful transformation, advance our sustainability leadership on the journey to becoming exclusively electric and deepen engagement within our communities.”

Max, added:

“I am delighted to be joining Bentley’s Communications team. Over the past ten years at Bentley – across Manufacturing, Motorsport and Mulliner – I’ve had the privilege to be part of some incredible teams and projects. The progress we’re making on decarbonisation, maturing DEIB, and deepening our community impact is driven by the passion of our colleagues and the commitment of our business partners. I’m excited to build on that momentum alongside the Communications team.”

Max replaces Stefanie Lackner, who returned to Audi AG as planned last year to take on the role as Spokesperson Transformation.
