The MSA is set to continue until 2035 and, contingent upon future contracting awards from Bruce Power, encompasses potential future scopes of work for AtkinsRA(C)alis valued at up to $1bn.

This agreement strengthens their long-standing partnership and is expected to provide substantial economic and employment benefits throughout Ontario and across the country. It also aligns with the key objectives of supporting Canadian jobs and fostering economic growth.

Established in 2015, the MSA was set to expire at the end of 2025 and has been instrumental in supporting Bruce PoweraEUR(TM)s major component replacement (MCR) programme and outage activities.

The renewed agreement demonstrates a mutual commitment to innovation, efficiency and collaboration, centred on the eight units at the Bruce Power site and their significant contribution to OntarioaEUR(TM)s Integrated Energy Plan.

Bruce Power president and CEO Eric Chassard stated: aEURoeThis agreement strengthens our operational and project capabilities but also supports thousands of high-skilled jobs and drives economic growth in Ontario and across Canada.

aEURoeWe continue to build on our strong track record of performance at Bruce Power in both operations and projects and will not lose sight of these building blocks that have made us successful.aEUR

Developed collaboratively with Bruce Power, the renewed MSA encompasses the full range of capabilities offered by Candu Energy for upcoming work packages that are not included in its existing life extension contracts through the Shoreline Power Group joint venture.

This agreement covers all original equipment manufacturer services and innovative scopes that contribute to the ongoing health and maintenance of the Bruce Power station: reactor core engineering, tooling and robotics, parts supply, nuclear safety and licensing, project management and controls, outages, reactor programmes and lifecycle management.

The MSA aims to streamline future contract negotiations, enabling a more efficient focus on cost and schedule delivery.

The agreement also establishes enhanced governance, cybersecurity compliance and communication protocols, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and readiness for future operations.

AtkinsRA(C)alis president and CEO Ian L Edwards stated: aEURoeThe renewal of this MSA is a testament to the strength of our relationship with Bruce Power, and the confidence they place in our work as the steward of CANDU technology.

aEURoeOur continued long-term support for their CANDU-powered station is critical to OntarioaEUR(TM)s energy security and clean power goals. We look forward to many more years of collaboration together, building on the success of the prior MSA.aEUR

Bruce PoweraEUR(TM)s multi-year life extension Project is one of the largest electricity infrastructure projects in Canada and represents the largest private-sector investment in CanadaaEUR(TM)s nuclear industry and generation infrastructure.

AtkinsRA(C)alis has supported Bruce Power's life extension programme over the past decade, ensuring that six CANDU reactors at their station run until 2064.

The company has also provided operational support, including mock-up facilities, waste storage, training and lab spaces to Bruce Power.
