US President Donald Trump's 10 per cent tariffs on Australian beef could have a major impact on the Australian fast food sector. A reduction in beef exports to the US could see the domestic price of beef fall, making burger chains such as McDonald's and Hungry Jack's more competitive with chicken-focused chains such as KFC, which is owned by Collins Foods. Whereas the impact of Trump's tariffs on Collins Foods are perhaps still up in the air, they had an immediate impact on coffee machine maker Breville and car accessories maker ARB in terms of their share price on Thursday, with shares in Breville down almost 12 per cent and ARB's down seven per cent. Breville makes around 90 per cent of its products by value in China, while ARB will be hurt by Trump's 25 per cent tariff on automobiles and auto parts..
