Shares in Chalice Mining closed up 22.9 per cent at $1.48 on Monday after it informed investors it had discovered a more efficient way to extract and process the various commodities from its platinum group element-nickel-copper-cobalt project at Gonneville. Chalice Mining MD Alex Dorsch described the metallurgical 'breakthrough' as the "step change we have been hoping for over the last two years", with Chalice Mining aiming for a completed pre-feasibility study for Gonneville by the middle of this year.
