The collaboration will deliver up to 1GW of wind generation capacity and 1.5GWh of battery energy storage.
Green hydrogen manufacturer Envision Energy has partnered with Australian developer FERA to initiate large-scale hybrid renewable energy projects across Australia's National Electricity Market (NEM).
The collaboration will deliver up to 1GW of wind generation capacity and 1.5 gigawatt hours (GWh) of battery energy storage.
The deal increases confidence in its integrated technology platform, which links advanced wind turbines, containerised battery systems, grid-forming power conversion systems (PCS) and a hybrid power plant controller (HPPC).
Envision Energy international product line senior vice-president and president Kane Xu stated: "This collaboration represents a major step forward in demonstrating how hybrid wind and storage solutions can unlock new possibilities for Australia's energy future.
"We are honoured by the trust FERA Australia has placed in our technical capabilities across wind, storage and grid integration, and we look forward to delivering projects that set new benchmarks for clean, flexible power."
A pilot project will be launched in Victoria as part of the collaboration. It will feature Envision's full converter wind turbine, grid-forming battery storage and advanced HPPC technology in a grid-connected hybrid plant.
This alliance between Fera's local expertise and EnvironaEUR(TM)s global experience will propel Australia towards a more sustainable energy future.
FERA group member of the board of directors and Fera Australia head Sebastiano Falesi stated: aEURoePartnering with Envision Energy marks an exciting milestone in our pursuit of large-scale renewable projects in Australia. Integrating wind power and energy storage in a hybrid project will constitute an excellent model for future initiatives.
"The rapid advancement of renewable energy projects is crucial for supporting Australia's transition to zero-carbon energy. Envision's cutting-edge technology and deep global expertise assure us that we have a reliable partner capable of helping us achieve new standards in performance and reliability."
In June 2025, Envision Energy partnered with Indonesia's renewable energy company SUN Terra to develop an energy storage ecosystem. This collaboration will facilitate the clean energy transition in Southeast Asia, India and Australia by enhancing global supply chains and local manufacturing capabilities.
