The Goldman Sachs Group has announced the return of Rishi Sunak, the former UK Prime Minister, as a senior advisor.
Prior to politics, Sunak worked in finance and business, co-founding an investment firm that collaborated with international companies.
He also had an earlier stint at Goldman Sachs, starting as a summer intern in investment banking in 2000 and then working as an analyst from 2001 to 2004.

Sunak served as the UKaEUR(TM)s Prime Minister from October 2022 to July 2024 and previously held the position of Chancellor of the Exchequer from February 2020 to July 2022.
His political career began in 2015, when he was elected as the Conservative MP for Richmond (Yorks), and he has held various roles, including Chief Secretary to the Treasury and Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.
He continues to serve as the MP for Richmond and Northallerton.
In February this year, Goldman Sachs Group appointed Elizabeth Overbay as the new CFO of its asset and wealth management division, overseeing $3.1tn in assets.
She replaces Thomas Manetta, who is moving to a role in the bank's human resources team, focused on corporate compensation.
