AP & Associates Unlocks Access to Property Ownership Opportunities Across U.S.
PHOENIX, Feb. 18, 2025 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Prominent local businessman, Gulf War veteran, and national strategist Alan "AP" Powell is expanding his influence into commercial real estate, leveraging his expertise in high-impact partnerships to drive economic growth. With a proven track record of working across industries—including Fortune 500 corporations, entertainment, and venture capital—Powell brings a visionary approach to real estate investment and development, positioning AP & Associates as a key player in the commercial property sector.
"Real estate is a powerful driver of economic growth and opportunity," said Powell. "Through strategic investments and partnerships, we aim to create lasting impact in the commercial property sector while fostering economic mobility in Arizona and beyond."
Through AP & Associates, Powell is creating pathways for businesses to secure property, access funding, and build sustainable ventures. The firm's focus on strategic acquisitions and alliances reflects his commitment to fostering innovation and economic opportunities across Arizona's business landscape.
"Real estate is a powerful driver of economic growth and opportunity," said Powell. "Through strategic investments and partnerships, we aim to create lasting impact in the commercial property sector while fostering economic mobility in Arizona and beyond."
One of AP & Associates' standout initiatives is the development of the Arizona Impact Center, located at 1 S. 24th St. in Phoenix's Gateway District. This 1.55-acre property, featuring a 5,534-square-foot mid-century modern building, will serve as a centralized hub for community-focused nonprofits. Designed to accommodate 50-60 organizations, the center will provide subsidized rent and shared resources such as meeting rooms, front desk services, and event spaces. Demolition and renovations are set to begin later this year, with plans to open within two years.
"The Arizona Impact Center represents exactly the kind of innovative, community-focused development we need in Phoenix's Gateway District," said Kesha Hodge Washington, City of Phoenix councilwoman, District 8. "By transforming this historic property into a collaborative hub for nonprofit organizations, AP & Associates is creating more than just office space - they're building a foundation for stronger community partnerships and expanded services for Phoenix residents. This project aligns perfectly with our vision for inclusive economic growth and demonstrates how strategic development can preserve our architectural heritage while serving our community's future needs."
Strategically located near downtown Phoenix and the airport, the AIC aims to foster collaboration and expand community impact. Potential tenants include 100 Black Men of Phoenix, 100 Black Women of Phoenix, African American Christian Clergy Coalition, Black Chamber of Arizona, City of Phoenix Aviation Department, HeroZona Foundation, NAACP (Maricopa) and many others.
"For over 26 years, the Black Chamber of Arizona has been dedicated to empowering Black-owned businesses and fostering economic growth," said Dr. Velma Trayham, president & CEO of the Black Chamber of Arizona. Becoming a tenant at the Arizona Impact Center marks a pivotal step in expanding our reach, providing vital resources, and driving economic equity across the state. Together, we are building a stronger, more inclusive Arizona where entrepreneurship thrives."
"At the City of Phoenix Aviation Department, our goal is to provide an environment that supports opportunities for businesses of all sizes," said Aviation Director, Chad Makovsky. "This is a unique property that the Department has long held, and we're excited to have identified the right organization to acquire it. AP & Associates has shared a vision to redevelop the property in a way that preserves its history while benefiting the local community by providing access to opportunities for local, small and minority owned businesses. This will undoubtedly create synergies for our airports, and we look forward to this development in our community."
Another recent acquisition by AP & Associates is the former Charleston's restaurant at 1040 N. 54th St. in Chandler, near I-10 and Ray Rd. This 6,408-square-foot space, featuring an additional 864-square-foot patio, is undergoing final renovations to transform into a new supper club. Surrounded by established co-tenants such as Outback Steakhouse, Planet Fitness and AJ's Fine Foods, the location is positioned to become a premier dining destination.
In partnership with JMS Capital, AP & Associates also acquired the former Bank of America building at 3178 E. Camelback Road in Phoenix. The 5,165-square-foot property is currently home to Arizona Financial Credit Union, further demonstrating Powell's commitment to strategic real estate investments that support local businesses and drive economic growth.
As Powell expands his focus into commercial real estate, he remains committed to his philanthropic efforts as the co-founder of the HeroZona Foundation and 2nd vice commander of Travis L. Williams American Legion Post 65. Powell's dedication to supporting veterans and underserved communities continues to be a driving force in his work. For more information, visit AP & Associates.
